Patchwork Paper Origami Gift Boxes

Lisa Tilse at the red thread blog has shared the creative way to wrap with love. 

These lidded origami gift boxes are based on a traditional Japanese design 

to which she has added her own patchwork paper twist.

To make each box you’ll need:

• four squares of paper for the lid and four for the base

• washi tape (any tape is fine, but washi is more forgiving 

if you make a mistake because it’s easily removed and repositioned)

Even though there is no Bonne Maman store in Thailand, 

I can find Bonne Maman jam in few supermarket in Bangkok. 

The first time I bought Bonne Maman jam because I like the little gingham lids.

After I taste the jam, I like it. Bonne Maman jam is so delicious.

I enjoy eating Bonne Maman jam and get re-useable cute jars after I'm done with the jam.

This is so cool!!

Outside Thailand Bonne Maman is very well known.

There're variety of Bonne Maman products, anyway just the jam has been sold in Thailand.

This chalkboard style party invitation and envelope liner are very cute, 

featuring a cute black cat, smiling bat, happy ghosts and cheerful pumpkins. 

The party invitation is fully editable in Acrobat and is available to download 

at the end of this post. First you will need to install the free font Museo Slab. 

Then simply download the PDF onto your computer and double click 

to open it in Acrobat. (Note that you can not see the editable text 

in the browser preview window). 

Once opened from your saved file, you can easily change the text 

on your party invitation and print it, two per page, onto card stock. 

The liner is also available to download at the end of the post. 

These can be printed onto text weight printer paper 

and trimmed to fit an A7 envelope.

Printable Sewing Card Activity For Kids

Mate­ri­als

• 8.5 x 11-inch card stock (white or cream)
• Blunt nee­dle
• Scis­sors
• Embroi­dery thread
• Print­able tem­plates (down­load here: Betty Bouf­fant, Hazel Bob, Ida Braids,Sey­mour Spike)

Step 1

Down­load the print­able sewing card tem­plate (down­load here: Betty Bouf­fant, Hazel Bob, 

Ida Braids, Sey­mour Spike). 

Print the tem­plate of your choice using the 8.5 x 11-inch cream or white card stock. 

Step 2
Cut out the tem­plate cards along the dot­ted line. Fin­ished cards will be 5 in. x 7 in.

Step 3
Take the blunt nee­dle and care­fully punch the white dots in each hair-do. 
Choose your embroi­dery thread–I went with con­trast­ing col­ors so the thread 
would pop over the illustrations.

Step 4

Thread your nee­dle and start sewing!
